Arnold Palmer Visits The New Golf Course

The local Port Aransas, TX newspaper (Port Aransas South Jetty) reported this week that Arnold Palmer was in town.  He came to check out the new golf course that bears his name.  The Newport Beach & Golf Resort is currently under construction and is due to open later this year.  He was reportedly very pleased with the progress.  When asked if he had ever seen a course like this one, he replied "Yes, Pebble Beach."

The Arnold Palmer signature links style course is part of the 1,400 acre (approximate) master planned community located along State Hwy 361 on Mustang Island, Texas.  This is located directly across the street from our Port Aransas Realty office.  Looking out the window, it is clear to see the progress as the fairways and greens are really coming along.

Cinnamon Shore Update

In a meeting this morning with the Cinnamon Shore Sales Team, I was informed that Braselton Homes would begin several spec homes in the next week or two.  Cinnamon Shore is an exciting new beachfront development on Mustang Island, on the Southern end of Port Aransas, TX.  The project boasts some incredible amenities not found elsewhere on the Texas coastline.

The development is designed with "new urbanism" in mind and will be a very pedestrian friendly coastal community.  Phase One residential lots are currently on the market and priced from $125k.  Buyers have up to two years to begin construction through one of the approved builders.  Braselton's initial homes will be priced in the $300's.  This traditional seaside village should be a welcome addition to our community.

Village Walk Price Increase

Effective at 6:00pm CDT on Monday, April 2, 2007, all Village Walk standard lots are increasing by $3,000.  Lot and home prices will be adjusted accordingly.  Activity has been brisk in recent days.  I anticipate additional price increases before the launch of phase two.
